You need not be an officer to join!!!

The Chicago Fire Officers’ Association is announcing study classes for the upcoming EMT competency test. This is part of your benefits of membership in the Chicago Fire Officers’ Association. Class seating will be limited, and on a first come first served basis. Call and reserve your seating as soon as possible. Continuing Education hours will not apply for this test prep class. Keep an eye on our website for any other updates and information at www.chicagofoa.org. You may also join as it is a good resource for study materials and other information, and is another benefit of membership. If you are a member of the association you are eligible to sign up for the website to access content and receive email blasts regarding classes and/or meetings.  Go to the homepage and on the right hand side of the page under “REGISTER”, then fill out the information and submit for approval. This ONLY registers you for the website not the classes. Read below

YOU MUST CALL THE OFFICE TO SIGN UP FOR THE CLASSES AT 773 445-1700 DURING OUR NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS M,T,Th,Fr.

YOU CANNOT SIGN UP ON HIS WEBSITE FOR CLASSES OR MEMBERSHIP IN THE ASSOCIATION!!!  YOU MUST CALL OR COME IN DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS!

The class schedule will be as follows:

March 10th (1/A, EMS – 3) 18:30-21:30 Tuesday

March 18th (3/D, EMS – 3) 18:30 – 21:30 Wednesday

March 23 (2/A, EMS – 4) 18:30-21:30 Monday

EMT Test Prep class will include lecture and review of Region XI SMO’s/Policies & Procedures. A practice exam consisting of scenario based questions will be administered and reviewed. Mannequins and equipment will be available to practice hands-on skills.

Members of the Association are eligible to attend this exclusive class. You don’t need to be an officer to become a member! All uniformed members of the CFD are welcome to join!

Please bring a pen and paper for notes and study files!          .

All classes will begin at 6:30 pm sharp. Call us during our normal business hours Mon., Tues., Thurs., or Fri. 9:00 am to 2:00 pm before the 6th of March to reserve your seat at (773) 445-1700. Good Luck on the examination.
